FINE!!!!!
Anyway:
I took a sort of week off of blogging (mostly due to a weekend at the in-laws without Internet and then a very busy week with little free time in the evenings), but I think I'm finally caught up with my blogging for the most part (Man you guys post a lot! and I can't keep up, but I tried to do my best). So, I thought what better way to celebrate than join to more freakin' challenges! Am I out of my mind? I think it is because I'm going a little stir-crazy with All the King's Men and would just like to dream about other books.
Since I've already got two Southern books on my TBR list, I thought why not add one more. Plus, Maggie is giving away pecans. Yummmm! Click the here to take you to the site.
1. All the King's Men
2. Mother of Pearl
3. Welcome to the World Baby Girl
**********************************************************
I have been waiting to do my list for this challenge until I figure out what I'm reading for my classics challenge, but since this starts in May and mine not till July, I figured I could just swap out if needed. You can read all of 3M's rules here.
1. The Shipping News
2. In Cold Blood
3. Cry, the Beloved Country
4. Tess of the D'Ubervilles
5. Emma
6. The Portrait of Dorian Gray
7-10. TBR :)

Welcome to the World, Baby Girl is one of my favorite books ever. I love Fannie Flagg, though I liked her last book the least.
I hope you enjoy it!
Are you enjoying All the King's Men? I have it on my Decades List, and I just bought it this past week. Not sure what to make of your "going a little stir-crazy" comment, but now I'm worried :)
I can't wait to hear what you think about In Cold Blood. My husband read it, but I refused to because it creeped me out! I'm looking forward to hearing a woman's perspective on it ...
Helly Maggie cat! My cat likes to sit right in front of the keyboard, so I'm forced to pet her. We're both reading Mother of Pearl for the Southern Challenge-it'll be fun to talk about!
wow! another challenge,or two....of course!!
looks like you'll be having some great reading fun with those, I was going to try the southern challenge, but there is no way I could do another one right now....my eyes are bigger, much bigger than my tummy!! (oh, but those pecans...hum...)
Maggie is so cute!
Maybe you are out of your mind, but if so, most of us are :P I hope you enjoy your picks!
*Amy - I'm glad to hear something good about Welcome to the World! I read Daisy Fay last summer and loved it, so I'm hoping for another good read by her.
*Debi - I am enjoying it, but it is long and dense. I tried to use it for the decades challenge last year, but I finally had to switch it out. Now I am determined to finish it, but with a couple of busy weeks it is slow going. I do hope you like it, though!
*Heather - Ever since seeing Capote, I've been wanting to read In Cold Blood. I'm very intrigued and will hopefully not be let down. :)
*Laura - We'll also be both reading Fannie Flagg books--so we'll have to compare notes and then trade books. :) Maggie is again sitting on my desk staring up at me and meowing. I wish I could understand cat language!
*Bethany - Well, I'm trying to work the challenges out so that I'm maximizing my cross-reading, but I just can't resist a good challenge. I'm a giant sucker. :)
*Nymeth - Maggie is cute but sometimes very needy. I have another picture that I took of her in her usual position (well, our usual position--me laying on the couch reading and her lying on top of my arm). But, I'm glad she's a cuddly cat!
Awww, Maggie is beautiful! She has a great little face. I just want to pick her up and cuddle her. Thanks for posting the photo!!!!
I'm glad you're joining the one challenge I've decided to join in on. I started first thing, last night, and already finished a book. Of course, it was really, really short. :)
Oops--by "Helly" I think I meant a combination of "hello" and "hey." I've been having serious issues this week with words--boughten, costed, thanks you, and now helly. Good thing it's Friday! :)
My cat likes to sit right in front of my monitor. It isn't so bad if he lays down, but if he stays sitting up, he and I don't get along so well. ;-)
Good luck with the challenges! I'm not letting myself join any more this year. I'm not even doing the ones I'm in already. :-(
*Bookfool - Maggie is a great cuddler, but a little skiddish--just has to come to you. Even when I'm on the couch and she is meowing to jump up, if I reach down to pick her up she hops away. Funny girl.
I'll have to pop by to see your review!
*Laura - As long as you weren't trying to say Hell Maggie. :) I'm so excited it is the weekend--but here I am, up at 6:45 in the morning. Sheesh!
*Lit Feline - Maggie is currently sitting in the same position she was when I took the picture a few days ago. :) My keyboard is right in front of my monitor, so that's not a problem, but she does like to lie on my stomach while I'm reading, which creates a problem sometimes. I *was* giving up on challenges, but for me it is an easy way to organize my reading. So now, I'm *not* going to get stressed out about them--that's the goal anyway!
Hey, thanks for joining! Did you sign-up on Mister Linky? I wouldn't want you to miss out on the pecans!?! :)
Maggie - thanks for the reminder! I've been busy this morning working on my own challenge that I forgot to link back to the ones I signed up for yesterday! Eeeks! :)
I just love that picture! you should send it to cuteoverload!:D
" what? I'm not annoying you, am I?" lol
Usually she doesn't bother me, but when she starts knocking things over on my (very messy) desk or hitting the keys on the keyboard, it is time for her to get down from the desk. She'll meow at me and jump right back up. Can't help but love her, though! :)
