Classics Challenge Information
It's the time of year when everyone is wrapping up both presents and unfinished projects. The Classics Challenge ends at the end of the month, and some of you finished weeks ago, some are just now finishing, and others (like me) are working hard at getting those last classics of the year read.
When you've finished, hop over HERE to the classics challenge and enter the link to your wrap up post to be entered into a drawing for a book of your choice from Amazon.com ($20 limit). I'll be drawing the name after December 31st, so you still have a little bit of time left to finish.
While you're there, please take a few minutes to answer a few poll questions so that I can have some direction for the 2009 classics challenge. I'm thinking I'll move it up in the year--because let's face it--December is hectic enough!! Since I'm also hosting the Non-Fiction Five next year, I think I might host them at the same time (thinking April-September?).
I'd love feedback from you!! You can leave it either here or at the classics challenge blog.
One thing I'm really interested in knowing (and didn't think to create a poll for): Are you interested in having the same Mister Linky format OR a blog where you can post your actual reviews??
What other challenges do you have lined up for next year? I haven't made any lists yet, but I have my eye on a few!
Hope everyone is doing well--life is crazy here and I haven't been getting any reading or blogging done the past few weeks. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I'll be back in action!!

Ah! Trish, you have to most definitely host this one again for me :)
I am Challenged enough... but I know I can do this as well :)
Mister Linky should be enough! And well you can use the other blog for 2009 as well. :) Actually if I can read reviews or a lil post about each book each of us reads... that would be great help.. in picking up what I want to read :)
Let me know if u need help or anything.. u have all the set-p already.. i m so glad I will be able to participate!
I have read about your challenge and also that it starts somewhere around April. I have a huge stack of classics in my TBR pile and i need soem motivation. Are you hosting the challenge next year. Please do. Also, could it start from Jan? I am desperate :)
I like the middle of the year for both. Next year I want to try to avoid having too many challenges going at the same time, so that would give me time to finish some of the ones I join at the beginning of the year before I join more.
Also, I much prefer the Mr. Linky format to group blogs. I often forget to post in group blogs. Plus most of the time posts in group blogs don't get any comments, so you don't get the same kind of interaction with other challenge participants.
I'm so glad you're hosting again, Trish!
Oh I totally loved this challenge! Thank you so much! I do really like the linky format where I can post my actual review. Thank you!
LOVED the classics challenge and will definitely be participating again next year. Sounds good to move it up in the year, like you said December can get hectic when trying to finish up all your challenges AND do the whole Chirstmas thing.
Also, I prefer Mr. Linky. It's easier to post things in your own blog.
Howdy! You have a Christmas Spirit Award waiting for you at my blog...
I completely failed this one. You should do it again next year so I can try again!
I did not do so well with my challenges this year, but it is not going to stop me for signing up for more this coming year. :-) There's quite a few that have caught my eye. I'm just trying to decide which ones to say yes to at this point.
I wasn't a part of your challenges and so I am not sure how valuable my input is, but I vote for Mr. Linky. I find it too difficult to keep up with a separate blog for challenges.
It's hard to blog at this time of year, isn't it! I've written up a post about all the challenges I've taken on for 2009, and it isn't even here yet! I'm thinking about your non-fiction, but really, I'm not such a non-fiction lover. Sorry. ;)
Hi Trish! I presented you a Christmas Spirit award. Come check it out! :)
Merry Christmas!
I don't know if I will take on more challenges this year.
BTW, I tagged you. Come read it here!
Thanks everyone for the input! I'm thinking either March-August or April-September. I'll probably keep the current website the same, with the Mister Linky. I love the idea of group blogs, but I have a hard time remembering to post on those as well.
And Bellezza - there are so many different types of non-fiction! :) Maybe you just haven't found the subgenre for you yet. :P
