2008 Challenges

The most boringest post ever! But I need to keep a record somewhere. :) 14 challenges in total, if I'm counting right. The Book Awards straddled 2007 and the Japanese and 1% carried over to 2009 (one book). Lots of cross-listing and lots of fun. I haven't signed up for any challenges in 2009 yet, but I have a feeling I will soon.

Go check out the lovely buttons that Bethany and Nymeth made for the Classics Challenge. Still wrestling over March or April for the start date...?

Is boringest a homemade word? Congratulations! That list is impressive!

You completed a lot of challenges! I made a post like this at one point too, so I understand the need to create a record :P

I really like Bethany's button. So elegant. As for the start date, I've actually been in the mood for classics, so for me the sooner the better!

PS: Paper Towns arrived :D Thanks again, Trish!

i need to do a similar post as well.. I am still hesitating about taking part in too many challenges.. I don't want my reading to become too structured.. I like picking a book up randomly and reading it.. hmm.:) am still torn!
but your lists are impressive.. a lot of good books i would love to read as well!:)

Congrats on completing all the challenges, Trish! Loved your list!

The buttons are lovely! Can't wait to hear about the Classics Challenge soon! :)

You guys are so sweet to comment on my boring boring post. I meant to publish this earlier, but I wanted to include Kafka on the Shore so I wouldn't have to include the two challenges in my 09 wrap up.

*Michelle - boringest is probably a made up word. I have a lot of those. :P

*Nymeth - I love both of the buttons! You guys are SO wonderful to help me out. And I'm glad you got the book already. Amazon told me February 20th!! And, you don't need me to read those classics you silly girl. I just started The Woman in White today.

*Ramya - If I hadn't started putting together these links months ago, I probably would have never finished the post. Ick!! Those challenges are tempting, though, aren't they?

*Melody - march or april, march or april? Can't someone just tell me what to do so I don't have to make a decision? :) Glad you'll be joining us for the challenge!

Trish, you ROCK! I'm impressed not only in the number of challenges you joined, but that you completed ALL of them! Yay you! Now you get to make fun lists for the new 2009 challenges! Yay lists! :)

P.S. I don't know if you've started WIW, but I laughed really hard on the plane at one line in particular that the Count says. I wonder if you can find it??

Anything you say, Trish! :)

BTW, I've tagged you with a Happy Things Meme. See my post here. :)

Holy Moly, that is quite the list of challenges. Congrats on completing them-so impressive! I love the buttons for the Classics Challenge-they're awesome.

Job well done, Trish! I'm surprised you took part in the chunkster challenge because I know how much you dislike enormous books. I'm also planning to join the challenges you'll be hosting this year - maybe even a chunkster challenge. (I'm trying not to be too unrealistic.) Looking forward to it!

Wrong, wrong, wrong!!! So not boring!!! This is pure fun to read! Not much makes me happier than reading lists of books...you're not trying to tell me I'm boring, are you? ;)

Congrats, Trish! That is really very impressive! I wish I could do half that well...

And I love both the buttons for the Classics Challenge!

Um...most boringest post ever? I think not! You've read a boat load of books, girlfriend. I'm very impressed with all the challenges you've not only signed up for, but completed. I hope you know I'm signed up for the Classics Challenge, nifty button or not.

That's a lot of comments for a "boring post." Congrats on the challenges! By the way, I've been trying to email you and my messages have been returned. I'm not sure why! Just asking about those questions I sent. Hope all is well with you.

*Laura - I did laugh at something really hard in WIW last night, but now I can't remember what. Oh, and 2 paragraphs after I told you about Marian leaving, I found out she didn't. Silly me. :)

*Melody - Yay--did the meme last night!

*Dar - Aren't Nymeth and Bethany's buttons great? They made some great ones for the non-fiction five challenge also.

*Krystal - Haha! I was going to sign up for the chunkster again this year but haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been a little challenge-lazy this year so far.

*Debi - Glad you enjoyed reading the lists. I really wanted to put up a collage of all the buttons for these challenges, but I couldn't figure it out. :P

*Madeleine - Thank you!!

*Bellezza - So glad you're going to do the classics with us. The buttons are up, I just haven't figured out when I want to start the darn challenge.

*Natasha - Hmmmm--don't know why your emails aren't going through? Anyway, I don't really have any excuses except I haven't been on the computer much the past few weeks. I've got your questions on my to-do list (yes, I've had to resort to a physical written list to stay sane).

*Terri - LOL! Thank you. I'm worn out now. :)

Take your time with those questions! I just wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten them is all. I've got plenty of spotlights to do. I just don't want to leave you out!
