An Exercise Challenge...? Who's Game?
I got the crazy idea this morning to do an online workout challenge. Some of you know I've been doing these challenges at work this year, and my last one ended on September 30th.
100 Mile Fitness Challenge. Please join me! Please spread the word!

Good for you, Trish. That is a good way to get motivation. I'm currently training for a 10k on Oct 24 (Holy crap! Two weeks away).
Sometimes I need a race like that to keep me motivated to run 14-15 miles/week. I still need to add another mile or so during the next 2 weeks (10k is 6.3 miles).
OH - I should so join this challenge, but I am afraid that this will be one more failure that I will add to the 2009 calendar. Would you consider doing another online challenge next year? I would be sure to make that my one and only New Year's resolution :)
I'm with Molly. Since I flunked out of Marathon Makeover, I don't want to join an exercise challenge but . . . I went shopping, today, and have discovered I'm going to have to suck it up and get back to working out. I just don't want to do it in an official capacity, if you know what I mean. I'll cheer you on, though!!!!!
Good luck with the challenge! Maybe next year for me, as I have knee surgery coming up next month and am in no shape for doing 100 miles. :(
Will cheer you one from the sidelines with Bookfool!
*Paxton - Good luck on your 10k! I really admire people who can run that far--I'm a wimp! :)
*Molly, Bookfool, Alexia - If there's enough interest I'll hopefully do the 100 mile challenge again.
Really 100 miles isn't very much since 15 minutes of exercise counts as a mile (according to the rules), so it's only 25 hours over 90 days. Not too bad when you break it down that way.
Alexia--good luck with the surgery!
Thank you! I've been thinking of getting back to to gym and haven't had the motivation. You've got almost 60 people now!
This looks like a great idea! I think I'm going to sign up!
