Happy Friday Babble

cat

I feel like I've fallen off the face of the earth. I'm still here. Haven't been bloghopping or even reading but I'm looking forward to a FREE weekend and hope to catch up. And of course to get excited about the Read-a-thon for Sunday Salon. And to maybe even pick up a book. And possibly finish my quilt?

My apologies for not being around--last weekend I took a whirlwind trip to Salt Lake to see my Grandma (a 36-hour trip!), had cake decorating class and book club/author event, and tried to get in a few miles for the Fitness Challenge. Just when you think things are slowing down WHACK!! :) Guess that's life.

Hope everyone had a great week. I'm getting really excited for the 'thon (read-a-thon read-a-thon read-a-thon--can I post a vlog of me *just* saying that?).

And please don't forget about my giveaway for a Signed copy of The Lace Reader! Not signed by me...signed by Brunonia Barry!

Happy Friday! What weekend plans do you have?

I would love to just sleep all weekend, but somehow I don't think that's going to be an option.

I've been having a tough time reading this week. We're headed home from Salt Lake this weekend, and it's been hard to read. (I really don't envy you your short trip, I hate those!)

I hope you can get back into your reading, it will give me hope for myself next week! ;) I'm off to get a few pages in while I can (I love the book I'm reading now)!

read-a-thon ;)

No need to apologize, Trish! Life comes first *hug*

Does the readathon count as a FREE weekend? Probably not, but at least it's good for reading! I can't wait Trish! Last time, all those middle of the night emails were a lifesaver!

It's very hard to keep up blogging and reading blogs every day, and still have a life! But it's okay, because I think everyone is in the same boat!

I kind of disappeared off the face of the blogosphere this week myself, but I guess that's not so uncommon for me! It's tough keeping up appearances in both the real *and* virtual worlds!

I've actually been *reading books* in my spare moments this week, so I'm hoping to catch up on my book reviews this weekend, and, of course, gear up for my first time as a Read-a-thon reader! =D

Oh Trish, that's life! Of course we understand! :)
I hope you'll enjoy the read-a-thon... I'm not sure I'll be able to participate yet, but we'll see! :)

Oh! Jealous you went to see Grandma! Did you go out with your mom? How are you doing? Long time, no talk!

I haven't kept up with blogs, either. I try, but I'm just not good at reading *and* blog-hopping. So cool that you got to visit your grandmother, even if it was a monstrous drive.

Dear Trish, my whole life is a readathon! But I AM planning on participating, and I can't wait! I just haven't blogged about it yet. Hopefully I can finish one long novel and maybe a few shorter ones. I haven't even thought about making a list yet because I have a hundred lists already, but I'm sure Dickens will be on the list somewhere. :)

Being lazy, I'll say "What Nymeth said". ^-~

Not being lazy, I shall add "Yay! Trish is back! *glomp*" I do hope you'll get a chance to settle back into a calmer life soon. *huggles*

*Carol - Isn't it funny how we work so hard all week long waiting for the weekend and then we still don't get a break?

*kt - What book are you reading and loving? I need one of those! :)

*Lisa - LOL--smiling type, huh? I miss it too.

*Nymeth - Hugs back to you--I know you've been in the same boat the last week or two.

*Amanda - The read-a-thon is a completely free weekend for me. No chores no laundry no groceries--I don't even have to make a cake for class that week! And Scott knows that I'll be reading, so no entertaining either. :D Can't wait!!

*Rhapsody - I know everyone's kind of going through personal blogging struggles right now--wonder why that is?

*Megan - It is really hard to balance real life and blogging life!! And woohoo for the read-a-thon! You'll have a blast.

*Kailana - I have to give LOL cats the credit. :)

*Lisa - I hope you have a good weekend, too.

*Chris - Don't you wish there could be more time in the day? Although, if there were more time there would also probably be more obligations. Yuck! Hope you had a good weekend, too.

*Kay - I hope you'll get to participate in the 'thon even for just a bit!

*Michelle - Yup, the trip was 100% cuddle time with grandma. :) My mom went up to go to Bluff with everyone, so I just stopped in for the weekend.

*Bookfool - Looky here--responding to comments here and via email! Or something. :D

*Karen Beth - Honestly, I don't know how you do it. But I guess when reading is almost like a job you can get a lot of it done. How are your classes going this semester?

*Shanra - Ahhh. :) I shouldn't complain so much--I know there are lots of others who are in the same boat with work and life, etc, that I should just figure it out and deal! :)

*Lit Feline - LOL--and now we're at another weekend. :) I hope you have a great one, Wendy!

*Melody - I had a lovely time with my grandma--can't get enough of her. :) Have a good weekend, Melody.

*Alice - Thank you! :) It's so great to be among such supportive blogging buddies.

*Serena - I am having a blast but it is exhausting at the end of the day. But I'll still take it over the alternative!
