Read-a-thon: Hours 7-8

UPDATE FOR HOURS 7&8

Pages: 115 (Frankie Landau-Banks)
Time: 83 minutes

TOTALS:
460
pages read
315 minutes reading
45 minutes blogging
52 minutes cheerleading
6 mini-challenge (Collections Challenge/Who Keeps you Company see below)
65 blogs visited
1 book finished: Boy in the Striped Pajamas

For this hour's Mini-Challenges I took pictures of both my reading companion and my non-bookish collection.

Non-Bookish Collection (hosted by Caribousmom):

Since I was a little girl I've collected bells. I have over a hundred from all over the world but sadly most of them are boxed up at my mom's house. These are a few I've gotten in recent years. To name a few: Spain, Alaska, Caribbean (several), Canada, Argentina.

My Reading Companion (hosted by 'Nise):

Not Maggie this time! I thought I'd share a picture of Lexi, our English Lab. Her tummy is rumbling and I don't know what to do to make it better. :( Lexi may not cuddle like Maggie, but she always sits faithfully under my office chair.

How's everyone holding up? Can you believe we're a third of the way through??

so very cute..your companion!

You are doing great. I got a little thrown off schedule this am, but I’m back on track now. Keep up the good work!

I will surely need a nap a bit later unless, I walk around the house constantly until I fall over from exhaustion...LOL

So THAT's the puppy! I have no idea why I'd never heard of her!

I love bells, too.

Pepto tablets might help settle her tummy down or, if she'll do it, give her an ice cube to chew on. It settles their tummies (or so I've heard).

I love the bells!

(My internet was down for almost 6 hours, which is why I couldn't visit before :( Not a good day around these parts :P)

Oh isn't that nice, you've got a faithful friend to watch you back while your eyes are on the page :) Keep it going and enjoy!

I love the bells :). When I was in high school, I made a bell shaped like Anna Keshalyi (the queen of the fairies in the Romany legends), but my teacher told me that our clay was too chunky and would crack if it was thin, so I had to fill in the bell part. Which kind of defeated the purpose.... :P

Your bells are lovely!

Poor Lexi. Do you ever give her cooked plain rice. That sometimes helps a rumbling tummy. She is just beautiful.

My mom and I used to collect bells. We had all kinds of them but ended up giving them to my cousin years back. I love bells, they're a great item to collect.

Trish, how do you do it all. You read a lot, you manage to visit all those blogs, do challenges and cheerlead. Gosh, I think I need to be much younger. I just can't do it. lol.

When my puppies were sick, we took them to the vet, and she said that giving them cooked plain white rice, cottage cheese, and plain boiled chicken does help. The chicken and the cottage cheese has the protien in it that is good for the dogs.
